Upcoming Annual Lanikea Board Meeting

A reminder for all Lanikea Owners to attend the Annual Board of Directors meeting to be held in Lanikea Lobby on Wednesday, October 12th, at 6:00 PM (registration starts at 5:30 PM). There are five vacancies on the Board of Directors and many important issues pertaining to Lanikea will be discussed, so please try to attend. If you can't attend, please return your Proxy, as provided by Hawaiiana Property Management, at your earliest opportunity.

9/11

On 9/11 we were in Warsaw, Poland. A couple of months later, in November, I went to New York and visited the Ground Zero. The ruins were still smoldering, everything was covered with dust, there was an awful smell, and this very eerie sense that something terrible had happened there.

The only other places I had that feeling were when as a young lad I went to visit a former Nazi concentration death camp in Northern Poland and many years later when I visited Ground Zero in Nagasaki, Japan. It was as if thousands of souls were crying out. It is an experience one cannot forget.

Let us pray for all the victims and their families, and for those who protect our freedom. Let us not forget that our freedom is not free and it shouldn't be taken for granted. May God Bless and Protect America.

• Tuesday, October 11th at TBD - Building Sub-Committee's Quarterly Walk-thru. Meet in the Lobby, all interested Owners are invited to participate (call Lanikea office for time).
• Wednesday, October 12th at 6:00 PM (registration starts at 5:30PM) - Lanikea Board of Directors Annual Meeting. Lanikea Lobby. All Owners are welcome and invited to participate in the meeting and election of the Board Members. If you can't participate in person, please send in your Proxy.
