Security Breach at Lanikea - Update

During the Annual Lanikea Board of Directors meeting, participants were briefed by Lanikea's legal counsel Attorney John Morris and Securitas' Managers regarding the recent security breach at Lanikea. The matter is still under investigation.

In 2007, Lanikea House Rules were amended requiring all Owners to give duplicates of their keys to the General Manager. However, there was no written procedure regarding safeguarding Owners keys. Currently, such procedure and amended House Rules are being developed by Hawaiiana Property Management and Lanikea Board of Directors.

In the meantime, Securitas, the security company contracted by Lanikea to provide security services, has agreed to re-key any apartment at Lanikea at no cost to the Owner(s). For more information or to request free re-keying, contact Lanikea's General Manager Mr. Lee McCluskey at: lanikea@hawaiiantel.com or 808-942-4999.
